Special Effects

Special Effects are bold looks for when you want a photo to stand out.

EffectWhat it does
Color SplashKeeps the colors you choose and turns everything else black and white.
InfraredA dreamlike false-color look. Leaves and grass go pink or pale, and skies and water go deep blue.
ChiaroscuroDramatic light and shadow, like a single light falling on the subject. The shadows go much darker and the lights stay bright.
CyanotypeAn old blueprint print in deep blue and white.
Faded FilmA soft, matte film look with lifted blacks and gentle highlights. You can make it warmer or cooler.
Bleach BypassA harsh, gritty film look with strong contrast and muted color.
Split ToneA warm brown print with cool blue in only the deepest shadows.
Glitch ArtSlides the colors apart so edges get a neon fringe, like a broken digital screen.
BokehAdds glowing, blurred circles of light, like out-of-focus lights in the background.
Night VisionA green night-camera view, with grain, scan lines and dark edges.
ThermalA heat-camera view. Dark areas go blue, then cyan and yellow, and bright areas go red.
Pop ArtA comic-book print: flat blocks of bright color with outlines and dots.
VaporwaveAn 80s neon look in purple, pink and cyan, with a glowing sun, a grid floor and video grain.

Tips

  • If a look isn't right, remove that step. The rest of your edits stay.
